What can I expect from the event?
Dopamine Land is an indoor interactive sensory museum that combines media, technology and play into one place. It is a gallery made up of individual rooms that are aimed to trigger a gentle release of the happiness hormone ‘dopamine’. At Dopamine Land our guests can take a break from the outside world, bring some colour back into their day and capture some joyful moments on camera.
Where is the experience located?
The venue is located at Level Q, Uptown, 91 Queen St, Brisbane City QLD 4000. The entrance to the experience is located next to Just Jeans.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
This experience is held indoors in an air-conditioned venue.
How long does the experience last?
For you to have an estimate, people usually spend 30-50 minutes at this experience.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
Unfortunately, there won't be food or beverage for purchase at this event. However, Uptown, where the event is located, has many food retailers onsite.
Is there parking available?
There is paid parking available within Uptown. Access is via 66 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane and pre-bookings can be made via the
Uptown website.
Will there be additional sessions?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee there will be extra dates. Please refer to the experience page for updated information on availability, as those are the confirmed dates and timings.
Is there Virtual Reality?
This experience does not have virtual reality.
Is there a dress code?
There's no defined dress code for this experience; a casual look will be fine.
Will there be merchandise for sale?
There will not be merchandise for sale at the event.
ACCESS
Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?
It is recommended that you arrive at the time stated on your ticket. If you happen to arrive late, your entry will be dependent on if there is space available. This may result in an undefined waiting period or no entry to the experience.
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in this event’s location, though we do welcome service animals.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes, Uptown is an accessible venue. The exhibit is also wheelchair accessible; however, due to the nature of the experience, some parts of this experience may be less suited to customers with physical access requirements. These include the Sunset Beach room which contains a ball pit, and the Pillow Fight room.
What are the prohibited items at the experience? Can I smoke or vape?
Weapons, smoking, vaping, drugs, and food & beverage are strictly prohibited.
Do you offer carer tickets?
Guests requiring assistance throughout this experience are entitled to apply for one free pass for their personal assistant/support worker.For this experience, simply show proof of needing a carer ticket at the entrance and the carer will be allowed in for free.
Is the experience accessible for deaf/visually impaired people?
Deaf people will be able to enjoy this experience as it is mostly visual; however, we do not recommend this event for visually impaired people.
Will there be strobe lights?
This event may contain strobe lights. If you have any sensitivities to flashing and bright lights, please do let our staff know upon arrival.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition?
You will be walking through this experience and on your feet at all times; however, if you require a chair please ask a member of staff on site and they can arrange one for you as needed.
Will restrooms be available on site?
Uptown has restrooms conveniently located on Levels A, E, 1, 2 and 3. Restrooms providing access for the mobility impaired can be found on Levels E, 1, 2 & 3 and a parent’s room can be found on Level 2. Please ask our staff for further directions if required.
Can I take photos or record the experience?
Feel free to take photos and share them. When taking photos, please make sure not to disturb other customers. Professional equipment and tripods are not permitted.
Is there a Lost & Found?
We would recommend to ask the staff at the venue if they have found your belongings. Uptown also has a Lost & Found Service available at the Customer Service Desk on Level Q during centre trading hours. The customer service desk can be contacted at
uptown@vicinity.com.au.
Is coat check available?
Unfortunately, this venue has no coat check. Uptown does have storage lockers available for hire on Level A and Level Q.
Is there an age requirement?
All ages are welcome to this experience and the space is accessible for prams/strollers. Children up to the age of 2 do not require a ticket.
Will there be an audio guide?
Unfortunately, this experience does not include an audio guide.
