The first immersive emotional learning experience for schools
Hormones Academy is a guided educational programme hosted at Dopamine Land, designed to help students understand how emotions are generated in the brain and how hormones influence mood, behaviour and wellbeing.
The visit begins with a facilitated introduction, where students learn what hormones are, how they work, and the role of key hormones such as dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and cortisol. Using age-appropriate examples, the session addresses how everyday stimuli including movement, rest, social interaction or overstimulation can impact emotional balance and health.
Students then explore the immersive environments of Dopamine Land, where they experience different emotional states first-hand. The programme concludes with a diploma for each student and a guided reflection, helping students connect what they felt to the underlying hormonal processes and to real-life situations at school and beyond. This ensures the experience is educational, structured and meaningful, not just playful.
